Moon Lake 2010

This is our annual trip to Moon Lake!  On the first day we got there Blake went out on the boat with all the guys and caught the first fish!  He was so proud of himself! That is until he had to eat the fish! ( see below pic)

He enjoyed catching it more than he liked eating it!

 Playing at the beach and building sandcastles! The water is too cold to actually play in! 

  Here we are after a fun candy bar game!  It's played with lots of candy bars, dice and a mix of crazy! My niece Makenna giving is giving Katelyn a kiss and my cousin Amber playing with her. She enjoyed lots of attention! 

Below is a picture of a pot-gut trap that someone in my family made!  It became the kids favorite game to play, to see if they could catch one!  Many of the kids enjoyed just playing in the dirt!

                                                                                                                                   

At the end of each trip we do pictures in front of the Moon Lake sign.  It is fun to compare year after year  how much we all change, and to see how our families have grown. This is a picture of my family all together it has now grown to 15 and 1/2.  So fun to have all the cousins together! Below is a picture of my extended family that came this year, as well as all the kids oldest to youngest!  I have the oldest and the youngest, what are the chances?  Such cute kids!

Blake's Birthday dinner

 For Blake's birthday dinner he chose to go to In-N-Out Burger, such a Blake choice! It was nice of my whole family to come along and celebrate with us!  In the above picture Blake is showing off his new Lego presents, and his remote control helicopter!  What a spoiled boy!

Alyssa's dance performance

Alyssa takes ballet and tap at Utah Dance Art Center in Sandy. This year their show was Beauty and the Beast! Alyssa class were flower girls and did a wonderful ballet number with Bell and Gaston.

Here we all are after the show congratulating her on doing such a good job. Alyssa's cousin Leah was also in the show so she was able to have a lot of family there to support her.

Blake's 7th Birthday

This year for Blake's birthday he got to have a friend party! He chose to go to Incredible pizza for his party! Incredible pizza is new in Draper and has a pizza and pasta type of buffet, so everyone got to eat dinner first and then play.

There is nothing like a room full of 7 year old boys all hyper and excited to be there!In the above picture Blake is at the head of the limbo line! They were able to play a few games in the room and do cake and presents. When we were done with that we went out and played laser tag.

Here they all are playing the licorice game, who can eat it without touching it with their hand? I believe that his friend Nate won that game!


Here is a picture of Blake's awesome birthday cake! His theme for his birthday was star-wars so his Nana made him this star-wars birthday cake. As you can see it was just what he wanted! Going along with our star-wars party the kids also got to play three rounds of laser tag with each other.

Blake had fun opening all the fun presents from his friends! Here they are getting ready to play laser tag! Everyone got to put on a vest and get a laser gun. Then we divided into two teams so that when you shot someone on the other team the vest would light up. I was able to play one round and had a lot of fun running and hiding from the boys!

When we were done with the laser tag games they were all given game cards to go play some of the video games in the arcade! I think Blake had a great birthday party and was glad to have all of his friends there!!

Alyssa's Hair!

Alyssa has been growing her hair out for the past year and a half so that she could donate it to Locks of Love! I am so proud of her for wanting to donate her hair after working so hard to grow it out!

Doug's Birthday

Happy birthday to dad! On June 5th Doug celebrated his 37th birthday! Alyssa and Nana made Doug a very nice birthday cake! Alyssa did a lot of the decorating herself, with Nana doing all of the words for her! What a good job she did at her first try at cake decorating!


For Doug's birthday we went with his parents to Training Table for lunch! You know Doug had to have cheese fries for his birthday! Doug and I got to have a date night while my parents watched our kids! We went to Epic for dinner and it was wonderful, then we went to the movies! It was so nice to see a movie that wasn't made for children or wasn't a cartoon! We saw Iron Man and loved it! I think Doug had a great birthday!

The Last Day of School

I can't believe how fast the year has gone by! Here is Alyssa and Blake on the last day of school! June 4th , 2010.


Here they are on the first day of school Wed. August 26th 2009! I can't believe how much they have grown this past year! It is hard to believe that Alyssa will now be in 4th grade and Blake will be a second grader! Where does the time go? I wish it would slow down a bit!
