Birthday weekend!

My birthday week started with a dozen red roses from my husband!  He had big plans, he wanted to surprise me with something each day.  But sadly enough he got really sick with tonsillitis and was in bed for most of the week.   That's okay because I still got a chocolate covered apple, a pedicure and a manicure.  Not too bad of a week!  So thank you Doug for thinking of such nice things to make turning 37 a little better.

My birthday was on Saturday and my kids wanted to do something with me so they decided to take me bowling.  We had a lot of fun!  One game Blake won and the next game Alyssa won so everyone was happy!  Can you believe that they didn't let their mom win on her birthday? Then later that night Doug and I got a babysitter and went to dinner and  a movie and saw Inception.  Katelyn had to tag along for dinner because she wouldn't take a nap and was kind of grumpy.  Of course at dinner she was an angel, so we took her home and put her to bed and went to the movie. It was a great movie!  What a great birthday!  I was kind of spoiled and I liked it!

24th of July

Happy 24th of July! As you can see we had my parents over for dinner and fireworks!  At the last minute my mom also decided to celebrate my birthday that night as well!  I loved the cute cake, she got the idea from Alyssa's polka dot swimsuit!  We had a wonderful night with good food and some fireworks with the neighborhood kids.

Amy & Dylan Goodbye Party!

Here is a great picture of our friends Amy and Dylan in-front of their house before they moved!  In our neighborhood they were the great party planners! Every Christmas they would throw a party for all the younger couples in the ward.  So we decided to throw a party in their honor as a thank you for all the fun times we've had at their parties!

Jenny Reimann, Christa Smith, Brooke Hamilton, Marianne Cowdell, Jennifer Lee, Amy Matsumori, Benee Larsen, Niki Groscost

We enjoyed a BBQ in our backyard and had a lot of good food and laughs! It is sad to see them move on, but we are grateful for their friendship.  We will have to step up and start throwing more party now they are gone!

Here comes trouble

Katelyn has become very mobile and fast!  She has also discovered stairs! She has learned how to climb up them and how to fall down them!  Stairs are now our enemy!  Since we live in a split we have lots and lots of stairs!  Our goal for the month of July is to Katelyn proof our house so she will have fewer accidents.
How can such a cute baby cause so much trouble?
Here is what happens when her brother leaves a Hersey's kiss on the floor!  Katelyn's first taste of chocolate and she liked it!

The 3th of July Celebrating the 4th

For the past few years our neighborhood has done a 4th of July breakfast and a bike parade.  My kids love it and look forward to it every year! This year it was great the weather was nice and cool and the food was great!  Strawberry pancakes!  Need I say more!  We always get together with the kids on our street and decorate their bikes, although this year everyone was out of town except our next door neighbors!  The kids still had a great time.

Here is Alyssa and our next door neighbor Peighton getting ready for the bike parade!

Here is Blake getting ready to go, looking so patriotic!

Later that day we went to the Life Center pool with my parents and Katelyn!  It was Katelyn's first time in the pool!  She must be part of our family because she loved the pool!  Here she is with Papa having fun playing in the water with her brother and sister.
