For Alyssa's birthday she wanted to go to Matsu, a sushi restaurant that she loves. She has very expensive taste for her age! So we invited her Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Larry to come and celebrate with us.
She recently turned 9; I am not sure where the time has gone. Alyssa is in 3rd grade and loves school and learning anything new. She always has a book in her hand and is often reading two or three books at a time. Alyssa is enjoying doing ballet and tap and is getting ready for her recital in June. Her favorite thing she is doing is Up with Kids, it is a musical theatre program she has done the past three years. This year she was given a lead part in the year end show. She will play Dorothy in their version of the Wizard of Oz and Wicked. She has loved learning her lines, and can’t wait for her performance in the middle of May.
Blake
He is six going on seven; he is not my little boy anymore! Blake is loving being in first grade; and has done really well this year! He loves math and anything to do with science. Blake’s favorite thing right now is Karate, and he has really excelled in it the past two years. In March he tested and received his purple belt. I am so proud of him; he has worked very hard and has spent a lot of time practicing. He also competed in a Karate tournament and took 2nd place in the kata that he performed.
Katelyn
She is the newest member of our family, arriving five weeks early. She was born on 09/09/09. A special birthday for a special girl! Weighing in at 3lbs. 12 oz. a very skinny little thing! She was born early with very underdeveloped lungs, but other wise healthy. She spent two weeks in the NICU at LDS hospital and was able to come home weighing 3lbs. 15 oz. I couldn’t believe they would let me take her home, but she thrived once at home and we were happy to have her with us. She is now growing well and has become a joy to have in our home. She is now seven months and has become a pro at rolling all over the place. She loves her big brother and sister and they love playing with her. She loves to talk, and often confuses talking with loud shrieks that aren’t nearly as cute as her baby talk.
